Getting out of the city
Outside of Belfast there are many things to do. Towns such as Ballycastle, Lisburn, Coleraine and Downpatrick are all great places to stay and soak in the unique atmosphere of Northern Ireland. Many enjoy travelling the coast road taking in sights such as the Giant's Causeway famous for its 40,000 basalt pillars and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.
Those interested in history and culture will enjoy a visit to Armagh, Irelands oldest city, birthplace of St. Patrick and burial place of Brian Boru.

Running since 1928 the Castlewellan Show is recognised as one of the foremost one-day agricultural shows in Ireland, attracting over 12,000 visitors. The Belfast Feile is also a long standing tradition in West Belfast every August. Being the biggest community festival in Ireland, it offers a great multicultural program of music and entertainment.
